Job Opening: Transportation Analyst at NYSDOT in Utica
/The Transportation Analyst works under the supervision of a Sr. Transportation Analysis, Associate Capital Program Analyst or a Professional Engineer. The duties assigned to this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Local Projects:
• Develop strong working relationships with local municipalities within the 6 county region that have received federal project awards to ensure projects are performed in accordance with the Local Federal Aid Project (LFAP).
• Prepare, document, and provide follow-up for processing funding agreements and payment reimbursements between NYSDOT and Local municipalities to ensure timely execution.
• Work closely with the Regional groups: Design, Construction, Environmental, and Right of Way, and Maintenance to monitor project delivery and costs.
• Prepare and present to local municipalities on federal aid eligible grant solicitations and provide technical guidance on the federal process.
• Coordinate annual Local Highway Inventory (LHI) updates with municipalities.
• Perform additional duties, as required and/or directed, to support transportation program and planning related functions.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations
