Job Opening: Transportation Analyst at NYSDOT in Albany
/NYSDOT Region 1 Planning and Program Management is hiring a Transportation Analyst or Trainee Transportation Analyst (14/16/18), salary range $52,198 - $82, 656 dependent on education and experience. The low end is bottom of grade 14 – a qualifying bachelor’s degree or any bachelor’s degree supplemented by 24 qualifying credit hours. The high end is top of grade 18 – a qualifying Master’s degree and eight years of experience, or a qualifying bachelor’s degree and ten years of qualifying experience in transportation planning, engineering management, systems analysis or quantitative analysis of transportation or Highway systems including direct responsibility for preparation of written material.
Job duties include:
Preparation of Complete Streets and Smart Growth reports for capital projects;
SEQR lead agency request comments and response;
participation in local and regional planning studies as a representative of NYSDOT Region 1;
communication with local and regional officials, planners, and residents;
GIS analysis and mapping; other duties as assigned
