2025 Empire State Greenways Conference - Call for Presentations Deadline Extended to April 30

The conference committee is seeking presentation proposals to create a dynamic program around the solutions for developing, maintaining, and enhancing greenway trails in every corner of the state and beyond. General registration is also now open for this two-day conference that will bring together active transportation and outdoor recreation professionals and enthusiasts to plan for the future of New York’s greenway trail network. Early bird pricing is available through May 15, 2025.
The Orange County, New York, Department of Planning is seeking to fill one of two Deputy Commissioner positions. The new Deputy will either handle oversight of the Transportation and Transit Units or the Land Use and Environmental Units. Applicants for either position should have supervisory experience including budgeting and fiscal management as well as human resource management. Work is performed under the supervision of the Commissioner of Planning/MPO Director with latitude allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out planning activities. Supervision is exercised over subordinate professional, technical and clerical personnel. Related work is performed as required.
