RFQ: Technical Assistance to Prepare Conceptual Site Plans, Graphics for Orange County.
/The County of Orange (“County”), by and through its Department of Planning (“OCPD”), seeks quotes, from qualified, experienced offerors, to prepare conceptual site plans, graphics, applicable design details, and cost estimates for the development of targeted trails, corridors, intersections and other identified locations.
A quote, together with all requested documentation and a statement of qualifications, experience and references, must be submitted via fax or email to the attention of Alan J. Sorensen, Commissioner of Planning at: (845) 291-2533 or asorensen@orangecountygov.com, no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 30, 2025.
County seeks to engage a qualified Consultant or Consulting Firm (“Consultant”) to prepare one-page conceptual site plans, graphics, including applicable design details, and basic cost estimates (“Plan”) for the development of targeted trails, corridors, intersections, and other identified locations within the study area designated by the Creating Healthy Schools and Communities (“CHSC”) Grant, to increase safe and accessible physical activity for residents of Orange County (the “Project”).

The Orange County, New York, Department of Planning is seeking to fill one of two Deputy Commissioner positions. The new Deputy will either handle oversight of the Transportation and Transit Units or the Land Use and Environmental Units. Applicants for either position should have supervisory experience including budgeting and fiscal management as well as human resource management. Work is performed under the supervision of the Commissioner of Planning/MPO Director with latitude allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out planning activities. Supervision is exercised over subordinate professional, technical and clerical personnel. Related work is performed as required.
