/Tompkins County Seeks Housing and Community Development Planner (deadline 3/24/24)
The Department of Planning and Sustainability is recruiting to hire a Housing and Community Development Planner to work directly with developers, municipal officials, and other community organizations to implement the County’s Housing Strategy to create safe, affordable and desirable housing in Tompkins County. It is an exciting time for affordable housing development, with the local Community Housing Development Fund that the Department administers seeing record levels of contributions as well as requests to support affordable housing development. This position will be filled at either the Housing and Community Development Planner I (entry-level) or Housing and Community Development Planner II (mid-level) depending on experience and qualifications. Telework and flexible work options may be available.
