In partnership with the New York Planning Federation, we are happy to present this exciting MEMBERS ONLY webinar!
Many communities are reluctant to take up comprehensive planning because it seems to them - often correctly - to be an overwhelmingly long and complicated job. The complexity doesn't just hinder a community's willingness to do it, but can also exhaust participants, who then also see local conditions (that motivated the plan) changing before the plan is even done. From nearly four decades of experience, Dr. Sternberg is proposing a way to simplify and speed up the town, city, or village plan, while adhering to all statutory requirements.
Bio: Ernest Sternberg ("Ernie") is a professor of urban and regional planning at the University at Buffalo, where he has taught for close to 35 years. He holds a Ph.D. from Cornell University. He has worked with NYS agencies on environmental and economic development studies, and also as a consultant or with students on planning studies for dozens of upstate communities.
REGISTER: This webinar is open to NYPF and NY Upstate Chapter APA members only. All should register by sending an email to nypf@nypf.org including your name, email address, and municipality/Upstate APA affiliation.
Registration for this webinar ends at 4:00 p.m. on November 18, 2024.
