Job Opening: Executive Director of the Southern Tier West Regional Planning and Economic Development Board
/The Southern Tier West Regional Planning and Economic Development Board (STW) seeks a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead the agency in its mission to foster sustainable economic growth, community development, and regional planning within Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua Counties. The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, and work closely with local government officials, community organizations, business leaders, and state and federal agencies to promote the region’s growth and enhance the quality of life for its residents. The Executive Director works for and reports to the 16-member STW Board. This position includes oversight of STW-affiliated agencies and entities that involve revolving loan funds, STW Building, railroad authority, and others noted in the overview.

The Orange County, New York, Department of Planning is seeking to fill one of two Deputy Commissioner positions. The new Deputy will either handle oversight of the Transportation and Transit Units or the Land Use and Environmental Units. Applicants for either position should have supervisory experience including budgeting and fiscal management as well as human resource management. Work is performed under the supervision of the Commissioner of Planning/MPO Director with latitude allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out planning activities. Supervision is exercised over subordinate professional, technical and clerical personnel. Related work is performed as required.
