Job Opening: Special Assistant for Economic Affairs, Adirondack Park Agency
/The incumbent, under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, will provide analytical support to Agency’s planning, regulatory, and enforcement programs and executive team on issues of community development and development finance, as well as fiscal and economic impact analysis. Act as liaison between the Agency and those economic and community development interests that are catalysts to the Park's economic improvement. These include State and local economic developers, the region’s business community, potential entrepreneurs, and local government officials including community development staff. Provide support to other core Agency functions including administration and public information and the Agency Board’s Economic Affairs Committee.
Bachelor’s degree and ten years of experience in municipal management, regional or local planning, economic development, real estate development, or any combination of the above.
A master’s degree in regional planning, public administration, business administration, or economics may be substituted for five years of the above experience.
