RFP: SIDA Seeks Proposals for Qualified Environmental Professional Services
/The City of Syracuse Industrial Development Agency (SIDA) is seeking proposals for qualified environmental professional services to conduct site investigation, planning, cleanup and marketing activities for targeted brownfield sites located on Syracuse's near Eastside. SIDA was awarded a $800,000 multi-purpose grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Program and will use the grant to hire a consultant or team of consultants to perform activities related to site planning and assessment, cleanup planning and remediation, community engagement and outreach, site marketing, and reporting for the following sites (collectively referred to as the "Subject Target Site"):

The goals of the project are to support the reshoring of manufacturing and its associated logistics and supply chain needs across the region, particularly with the high-tech semiconductor manufacturing industry, by attracting a manufacturer to the Subject Target Site.
The St. Lawrence County Planning Office is seeking an entry level Planner to join a group of other professionals working in the largest County, by area, in the State. The successful candidate will have strong communication and writing skills and be familiar with GIS. Work will be varied but responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, preparing graphic materials, assisting with community planning projects and programs, and staffing various advisory boards such as the County Planning Board, Environmental Management Council, Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board and Fair Housing Taskforce. The work is closely reviewed and is performed under direct supervision of a higher level Planner or the Director of Planning, but incumbents are allowed to work under more general supervision as they increase in professional competence.
