News from APA: Upcoming CM Targeted Planning Topic
/We are excited to inform you that the AICP Commission has approved the next CM Targeted Planning Topic, scheduled to launch on January 1, 2026: Sustainability & Resilience Continuing the momentum on planning for a sustainable future.
After a comprehensive review by the CM Targeted Topic Evaluation Task Force, the decision has been made to continue the focus on Sustainability & Resilience with refreshed guidance for CM providers. Why This Matters:
Sustainability and resilience are more than just buzzwords, they are critical to the future of our communities. Education in this topic empowers planners to engage in solutions that build long-term environmental, economic, and social resilience.
Next Steps:
CM providers will have one year to prepare content that aligns with these updated guidelines, ensuring a wealth of relevant, high-quality educational opportunities for planners like you by 2026.
