Planner's Advocacy Network Update

Planners' Advocacy Network members advocated for and won passage of the Land and Water Conservation Fund in March 2019. This bill reauthorizes the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership program which has provided $16 million to 30 communities since 2014. The new New York Legislative Session seemed like a perfect opportunity to reintroduce Upstate APA to Governor Cuomo. We thanked him and his administration for his leadership and laid out who we are and what we do in a February 2019 letter from Mark Castiglione. You can view the letter at https://www.nyupstateplanning.org/s/2019-Letter-to-Cuomo-NY-Upstate-APA.pdf.

Have something you would like the chapter to advocate for? Let us know. Contact Darren Kempner, Director, Legislative of Legislative Affairs for the New York Upstate APA Chapter or Mark Castiglione, Chapter President.
