The Emergency Services Director provides leadership, planning, coordination, and management of the County's emergency management services. This includes developing and implementing strategic plans, programs, and policies to continually advance mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities.
The position directs staff and administers natural disaster and emergency operations, fire and EMS training and compliance, mutual aid planning, and a variety of grant programs. The position is a key partner with federal, state, county, and municipal emergency management efforts. It supports operations, provides technical and administrative assistance, and partners with paid and volunteer fire and EMS providers.
