The Community Development Program Manager is involved with planning, coordination and implementation of Sullivan Renaissance's Community Development Grant Programs. The primary responsibility of the program manager is to build relationships and partner with elected officials, community stakeholders and agencies to integrate beautification efforts into a larger community context. Other responsibilities include responding to requests for technical assistance, assisting with community organizing, grant administration and project management.
Administer the Municipal Partnership and Technical Assistance Grants, including program and budget development, outreach, monitoring progress, and assisting with fiscal compliance.
Provide planning, visioning and design assistance to communities in Sullivan County, with a focus on downtown revitalization, blight elimination and capacity-building.
Provide grant writing assistance to municipalities as needed for community-based projects that align with Sullivan Renaissance's mission in order to maximize leverage of grant funds.
Partner with Sullivan County Division of Planning, Sullivan County Land Bank Corporation, and other agencies on county-wide initiatives that align with Sullivan Renaissance's mission.
BA or equivalent preferred in planning, public administration, political science or community development
A minimum of two years of direct experience working with municipal governments and/or administering grants
Highly developed interpersonal skills
Strong facilitation and community organizing skills
Knowledge of Sullivan County communities and institutions
Advanced computer knowledge & public speaking ability
