Bergmann Associates Planning + Design group is now accepting resumes for a Project Planner position located in our Rochester, New York office. The Planning + Design group of Bergmann Associates includes a mix of urban planners and landscape architects who work collaboratively on projects, taking full advantage of the unique skills and attributes of each team member. The successful candidate will bring a passion for urban planning and design to the team. We are only interested in applicants with an entrepreneurial spirit willing to put the time and effort into establishing a long term career with Bergmann Associates.
We are currently working on a wide range of projects including brownfield re-use planning, park master plans, regional plans, comprehensive plans, zoning and regulatory code development, design guidelines and waterfront revitalization plans. Additionally, our award winning landscape architects work on a range of design projects including signature corridors and complete street, parks and trails, site design and college and university campuses.
Work responsibilities will include a balance between document production, meeting preparation and meeting attendance. This position will require travel throughout New York State and attendance at evening meetings on a regular basis.
Minimum requirements for the positions include:
- Master’s degree in Urban or Regional Planning, or comparable experience;
- Proficiency with ArcGIS;
- Excellent technical and creative writing skills;
- Ability to articulate ideas and present information to a large group; and
- Proficiency with all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite and InDesign.
