The New York Upstate Chapter of the American Planning Association (the Chapter) is one of 43 Chapters of the American Planning Association. With approximately 700 members, the mission of the Chapter is to serve and support the professional, student, and citizen planning communities in New York State and to improve the quality of life through planning. The Chapter facilitates the individual participation of members in the affairs of the American Planning Association and is charged with furthering the purposes of the American Planning Association in the New York Upstate Chapter area.
Since 2012 the Chapter has required the services of a self-motivated, detail-oriented consultant to provide on-call, as-needed administrative support services to the Chapter’s Executive Board. The Executive Board is comprised of volunteers who rely heavily on the Staff Consultant to keep routine tasks on-schedule.
The Chapter is requesting qualified planning and/or organization management firms, related businesses, or individuals to submit a statement of qualifications demonstrating qualifications that show the necessary fundraising, organizational management, website, clerical, and associated skills required to assist the day-to-day activities of the Chapter.
