Starting Annual Salary: $68,956
The work involves assisting in the development and coordination of a business assistance program to aid local business and industry. The incumbent coordinates and supervises a variety of programs and services to aid in business development and retention efforts. This is a professional planning and administrative position. The incumbent works directly with local business representatives, public officials and private contractors on a variety of business assistance programs and projects. Work is performed under the general supervision of higher ranking administrative staff. Supervision is exercised over lower level technical and clerical staff. Does related work as required.
Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree majoring in urban and regional planning, business or public administration, environmental studies, political science, municipal government, economics, geography, architecture or landscape architecture, and four (4) years of experience in City, County, or Regional planning, at least two (2) years of which included business assistance and/or economic development responsibilities.
