Position and Essential Functions:
Bergmann Associates is now accepting resumes for a Landscape Designer located in our Rochester, New York office. The successful candidate will bring a passion for urban planning and design to the team. We are only interested in applicants with an entrepreneurial spirit willing to put the time and effort into establishing a long-term career with Bergmann Associates.
Our award winning landscape architects work on a range of design projects including signature corridors and complete streets, parks and trails, site design and college and university campuses. Our landscape architects work closely with our urban planners on a wide range of projects including brownfield re-use planning, park master plans, regional plans, comprehensive plans, zoning and regulatory code develop-ment, design guidelines and waterfront revitalization plans.
Work responsibilities will include the ability to communicate graphically with plan and perspective render-ings, create photosimulations, the ability to work on construction drawings and specifications, create presentation materials including PowerPoints and presentation boards, and be able to communicate ef-fectively in writing and presenting to a large group of people. Prospective candidates must possess the ability to work well in a collaborative environment with other design professions including architects, plan-ners and transportation engineers.
All prospective candidates will be required to submit a portfolio of their work demonstrating their graphic abilities along with 2-3 references associated with a design profession.

Works in close collaboration with more senior landscape architect and design project teams
Education, Experience, Certifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree, or comparable experience;
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite;
Proficiency with Sketchup;
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
Ability to create project graphics (plan view renderings, perspective graphics, photosiumlations, etc.) and be able to demonstrate their graphic abilities through their portfolio;
Ability to articulate ideas verbally and in written form; and
The ability to present information to a large group.
Works primarily in well-lit collaborative professional office setting.
